POST SEASON TOURNAMENT TEAMS

Player Residency Requirements: Generally, those players who do not reside within the Little League mandated boundaries and who register with SCAA would not be eligible to play on a Little League Tournament Team.  They may be eligible for non-Little League tournament teams such as Tournament of Champions or Challenge Teams.

Player Eligibility:  All players who meet the residency requirements and have participated in 50% of the regular season games will be eligible.  Players who were drafted-up from their typical age division will AUTOMATICALLY be placed on the tournament teams.  Players who declined being drafted-up will NOT be eligible for post-season teams.  (Exception:  A player that declined being drafted-up, whose parent is a team manager in the players typical age division, will be eligible.)

Team Expenses:  All tournament teams are responsible for their own expenses (uniforms, etc.) by splitting the costs among the team families, acquiring donations and / or acquiring sponsors.  SCAA does not provide funds for any post-season team expenses except for the entry fees only for the Little League and Tournament Of Champions (TOC) tournaments and the Coach Pitch Tournament

Uniforms:  All post season teams shall utilize SCAA colors (royal blue and white or gray) for uniforms.   A team desiring to deviate from these colors must obtain approval from the Baseball Commission.

Little League Tournament Teams:  These teams represent SCAA in the Minor League, Major League, Junior League and Senior League divisions.  These teams are selected from the regular season teams.  The players must have participated in 60% of the regular season games and meet the Little League residency requirements.  These teams participate in Little League tournaments.

The players are selected for the teams based on votes received from all the players in the division and each teams three coaches in each division at the end of the season.  The top nine voted players are on the team.  The official manager for each tournament team may select the final three positions for a team roster of 12.  Rosters may be expanded up to 14 players with approval of the Baseball Commission.  Any eligible league age 10 players in the Major League division that were drafted-up by the league will be automatically on the Minor League tournament team.

The players will determine the managers for each tournament team by voting. The team manager must have been a manager of a regular season team in the respective division.  If the team manager selected by the players declines the position, the baseball commission will select the replacement manager.

Tournament Of Champions (TOC) Teams:  These teams are formed near the end of the regular season.  The team is made up of regular season players, but cannot be the exact same team as the Little League tournament team.  These teams participate in post season “special games” on the local level.  The team is dissolved after the TOC special games are completed.  The residency requirement is not mandated for player eligibility on these teams.
