The initial registration deadline for ALL Divisions (except TeeBall) is 8/14. A $20 late fee will be added to registrations after this date. The final registration deadline is 8/21. Any registrations submitted after 8/21 are NOT guaranteed to be accepted, and will be dependent on available roster spots. Please see the links to the left for more info about age determination and playing format for each division.

TeeBall: does not hold evaluations. Teams will be selected shortly after the 8/21 registration deadline, and parents should expect to receive an email from their coach by the end of that week. Any league-age 6 year olds with 2+ seasons experience who are seeking to play up to Machine Pitch (MP) should attend a MP evaluation session and email Adam DiCarlo to be added to the eval list: scaa.baseball.machinepitch@gmail.com. Since TeeBall is an entry level for most players, we are always in need of new coaches. Please reply to this email or contact David Huitt about coaching: scaa.baseball.tball@gmail.com

Machine Pitch, Minors, Intermediate: evaluation schedule for both Saturday 8/14 and Saturday 8/21 (players must attend a session on either date). All sessions are on field 4 (across from concession stand):

Machine Pitch: 9am

Minors: 10:30am

Intermediate: 12pm

**Machine Pitch players (league age 8) seeking to play up to Minors should attend one session for both MP and Minors to be evaluated by both groups of coaches.

Intermediate does not allow players to play up from Minors.

Players league-age 13 may register to play either Intermediate or Juniors. This is at the discretion of both the parents and coaches which level they should play.

We were able to keep fees stable for spring, but many of our costs have risen over the past year and fees must rise accordingly. Based on parent feedback, some of the additional fee will go towards upgraded jersey styles for Minors through Seniors divisions. Please refer to the Little League age chart to determine what “League-Age” your child will be for fall 2021

Juniors, Seniors, and Big League (18U): workout sessions have begun. Please register your player to ensure you are on the email distribution for workout dates. All players must attend at least one workout to be evaluated by coaches, but are encouraged to attend as many as possible.

ALL Divisions: Teams will be drafted very soon after the final evaluations on 8/21. Expect to receive an email from your team's coach later that week and practices will begin Saturday 8/28. Games will begin after Labor Day. Questions can be directed to myself or the Division commissioner. Contact info is at the bottom of the Baseball web page.

Big League Division- our local District successfully started up a 17-18 year old division last season, and several other leagues fielded teams for inter-league play. SCAA will be participating with a team for fall 2021. This division will function just like the Jr & Sr divisions with scheduling, opponents, and costs.
ALL DIVISIONS- SCAA is a parent volunteer run organization. We are a non-profit, member-only association. All board members, commissioners, field maintainers, uniform/equipment/concessions/awards coordinators and other volunteers donate their time and effort to make our youth sports programs possible. Without volunteers, we don’t function. Added to the registration process this year is a drop down box to select how your family would like to pitch in with our program by volunteering. There are over a dozen options with varying degrees of time commitment to fulfill, and we recognize that family and personal situations may make certain roles difficult for some members, but at a minimum each family is expected to volunteer two shifts in the concession stand over the course of the season.

SCAA Baseball has structured the baseball divisions to be in line with Little League guidelines and the other Little League North Carolina District 3 associations. The structure builds our association from the T-Ball Division through Majors or Intermediate Division and then onto a full size field with the LL Junior and Senior League program.

Baseball Registration Notes:

Click on "Baseball League Age" which will show your players league age for the current season.  For Fall Baseball, SC-LL follows the age chart for the following spring season. Little League International REQUIRES a copy of Birth Certificates for all players.

For those players through age 12 from South Carolina (or NC outside of our LL boundary) that have NOT played spring season baseball at SCAA before, both Tega Cay / Fort Mill (http://www.tegacaysc.org/index.aspx?NID=859) and Lake Wylie have active leagues in their area.  We strongly encourage you to register with your local league. More information about Lake Wylie Little League is available at www.lwsports.org and about Tega Cay Little League at http://www.tegacaysc.org. Players that have previously played spring baseball at SCAA while residing or attending school within our Little League boundary may continue at SCAA with full tournament privileges as long as you do not miss a spring season.
